75th Anniversary of 'The Great Escape' from Stalag Luft III, Zagan, Poland

Today is the 75th Anniversary of 'The Great Escape'

There was a BBC2 Documentary in the series 'Going Underground' broadcast on the 50th Anniversary of the Escape, 29th March 1994. This revisited the site and the local railway station with some of the survivors, retracing their steps.

I agree with many of the above reviewer's comments (do read it) and encourage you to add this superb account to your music collection. The present recording has been superbly engineered the the outstanding sound man Lech Dudzik and Gabriela Blicharz on a glorious JapaneseShigeru Kawai SK-EX. I would also wish to remind readers of the remarkable birthday recital Ewa Pobłocka gave on 22 November 2017 at the Filharmonia in Warsaw. I re-post this as I was fortunate enough to be able to attend this magnificent live recital of Das Wohltemperirte Klavier, Book 1and …
