The Warsaw Connection in the 'Music for Peace' project - G 7 Summit in Hiroshima Friday May 19, 2023 - Sunday, May 21, 2023.

The present Ukraine brutal wartime situation is frighteningly close to us in Warsaw. The threat of the use of nuclear weapons by Russia makes the relationship between Warsaw and Hiroshima increasingly important. This post is the record of a serious past gesture of peace by this magnificent orchestra and a timely reminder of moral values and respect for the individual human life. 'Music for Peace'. I am also well aware of the  difficult decisions of conscience that  Japan faces  concerning foreign policy concerning this crisis. I am happy to inform you that the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra presented their subscription concert on May 18th 2023, which was just one day before the G7 Summit in Hiroshima started. How appropriate that the G 7 summit was held in Hiroshima! I hope the press accompanying the summit discovered the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra as a strong symbol of peace, as I witnessed when I visited Hiroshima.
